The Joy of Being a Baron
If you buy a DT code, either by spending a DT dollar or by using your alertpay/paypal money, you will find several advantages that will make upgrading to baron a profitable option.
I recommend playing for one or two months as a knight until you have enough money to upgrade to baron, it only costs 1DT dollar if you use that option. But you can also upgrade to baron by buying DT codes with your paypal or alertpay account. Just go to the menu, then click in "you: buy DT codes" and click on the option you like, either paypal, alertpay or D&T balance (the cheapest). If you don't have alertpay account or you just have created an Alertpay account and you want to make some money to play at D&T, you can visit the tavern and learn other ways of earning money on the net. Once you have bought 1 DT code, you will have the following advantages:
Conversion rate
When you are a Knight, your will receive 1 U.S. dollar for every 350.000 gold coins you collect. The actual rate varies depending on the total amount of gold coins collected by everybody. So, if everybody collects a lot of coins, you will need more gold coins to reach 1 dollar.
If you upgrade to Baron, your conversion rate will increase by 10 %, So, instead of receiving 1 U.S. dollar per 350.000 collected coins, you will receive $1.1 If you accumulate 3.500.000 gold coins during your monthly quest, you will recover your money if you upgrade to baron. if you cannot accumulate so much money, don't worry, upgrading to baron can also be profitable.
Rank Chests
Every day you will have 1 rank chest with cash for you to open. the chest is located in the menu "YOU: My Rank" If you forgot to open your chest one day, don't worry, the chest will be there for you to open it tomorrow or any other day. As a baron, I found from 1 cent to $0.1 in rank my chest. The most common quantity is 1 cent, though, and sometimes I find nothing, but fortunately that is not very common. During last February I won $0.44 just from opening rank chests.
Star points
For every DT code you
buy you will receive 4 star points. Those star points are the real currency
in D&T. With star points you can buy dungeons, lives, or tickets for different games in the
game.
You will be able to exchange 1 star point for:
- 4 new dungeons (recommended)
- 3 extra lives
- raise 4 more levels
- buy the power of teleportation (through the passages you have already visited in the dungeons) (only can be used 20 times per star point)
- Adopt a monkey (it will collect the pieces on the floor of the dungeon for you, for 50 dungeons only)
- 6 games in the crystal ball
- 4 games in the Golden Pyramid
- 3 Jackpot tickets
Fidelity points
Fidelity points are meant to give the player who bought a DT code something he/she can use the following month, as a prize for been supportive to the game. The month after you buy 1 DT code you will receive 1 fidelity point. So, if you buy 1 DT code on April, you will receive 1 fidelity point on May. If you buy 8 DT codes, you will receive 8 fidelity points.
And what can you do with 1 fidelity point? You can exchange it for:
- 1 dungeon and 5000 gold (recommended)
- 7000 gold
- Scratch fidelity point tickets (15 bronze, 6 silver or 2 gold)
- Play the Flurgs Treasure (5 big or 20 little games)
Since here I recommend playing dungeons, I would exchange my fidelity points for dungeons plus gold. If you have too many fidelity points, you can play scratch or the Flurgs Treasure, is just more fun than simply take the 7000 gold.
And you can always sell or give away the dungeons you obtain via fidelity points in the market. You can also buy dungeons in the market, but only those obtained through fidelity points, not the free daily ones.
